A Solon man was arrested Wednesday evening after allegedly trying to interfere with an investigation and being found with a weapon while intoxicated.

Police say 31-year-old Matthew Sorensen of Quincy Road NE was intoxicated while carrying a weapon near East Stinocher Street just after 6pm.  He allegedly was obstructing an ongoing investigation performed by Johnson County deputies.

Sorensen reportedly had bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech. He refused a post-arrest breath sample.

Deputies charged him with Public Intoxication, Interference with Official Acts, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon while Intoxicated. If convicted on all counts, Sorensen could be sentenced to a maximum of 14 months in jail.
