Passing a Sheriff’s deputy at over 100 miles per hour on Interstate 380 led to an OWI arrest for a Linn County woman.

According to the arrest report, the deputy was responding to another call and headed northbound on Interstate 380 just after 8:15pm when 24-year-old Kaylee Primmer-Hosch of Walker passed him in a 2008 Ford Explorer. The deputy stated he was going 70 miles an hour, and Primmer-Hosch was going over 100 miles an hour.

After a traffic stop was initiated, the woman performed poorly on field tests and refused a PBT. Primmer-Hosch submitted to a Datamaster test allegedly showing her breath-alcohol level at .201 percent.

A check of driving records showed a previous OWI from Buchanan County in 2022.

Primmer-Hosch was charged with her second OWI, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to two years if convicted.
