Hawkeye legend Caitlin Clark was caught trolling New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson during the Knicks’ 125-108 loss to Indiana Saturday night in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The win by the Pacers launched Indiana into its first NBA Finals since the year 2000.
Clark was at the game with Indiana Fever teammates Lexie Hull and Aaliyah Boston. While the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year appeared to be attempting to maintain a low profile, TNT cameras caught her imitating Brunson’s signature celebration after her close friend and Brunson’s nemesis, former Iowa State star Tyrese Halliburton, hit a key three-pointer. Halliburton and Brunson have been playing up their personal rivalry ever since they had a scripted confrontation on WWE Smackdown in Madison Square Garden before the current NBA season.
Clark is currently out recovering from a quad injury and is scheduled to be reevaluated on June 9th.
The Pacers won the series and will face Oklahoma City in the NBA Finals.
Saturday night’s game marked the final NBA game on TNT with NBC outbidding Turner for the contract.
