An Iowa City woman was arrested after allegedly threatening her boyfriend during a physical altercation.
Police say 20-year-old Lakeitha Augustine of Michael Street got into a fight with her boyfriend of about a year Friday afternoon. During the fight, Augustine allegedly pulled out a kitchen knife and threatened her boyfriend with it.
The victim told officers he felt unsafe when she had the knife in her hands. He also was allegedly observed with scratches on his back and neck.
Augustine was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with the display or use of a Weapon. She could be sentenced to up to two years in jail if convicted on the charge.
