An Iowa City man has pleaded guilty to charges that he brandished a replica gun while an accomplice assaulted another person with a baseball bat.

Garrett and 19-year-old Leshawn Garrett…who live together on Muscatine Avenue…allegedly met another person at Mercer Park at about 6:00 on the night of February 22nd. Willie Garrett was reportedly armed with a replica Glock 17 BB gun, while Leshawn Garrett allegedly hit the person with a baseball bat. The incident was captured on video. Iowa City Police say Willie Garrett admitted to brandishing the replica gun to scare the other person.
