A parking dispute in North Liberty has led to the arrest of a Marion woman on assault and harassment charges.
18-year-old Harmony Lane of 1st Avenue was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 11:15 Thursday night. Lane was wanted by North Liberty Police after she allegedly assaulted a resident on Front Street at about 10:30 on the night of July 13th. The reported victim says he confronted Lane because she parked on the sidewalk in front of his residence. Police say Lane responded by shoving the man, who fell over a car seat and through a rear door, hitting his head. The victim already required a cane and reportedly re-aggravated a previous back injury.
As the man was lying on the floor, Lane reportedly told him, “I’m going to kill you…I’m going to kill you.”
Police say bystanders had to hold Lane back from attacking the man further.
Lane is now charged with Assault With Intent to Inflict Serious Injury and 1st Degree Harassment. If convicted on both counts, she faces a maximum of four years in jail.
