University of Iowa announces 2025 Kid Captains

With the Hawkeyes’ first football game less than a month away, University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital is launching its 16th season of the Kid Captain program.
The Kid Captain for the season opener August 30th against UAlbany is 9-year-old Nolan Stevenson of Oskaloosa . The Stead Family Children’s Hospital treated Nolan after a serious UTV accident on the family farm when he was 6. Since then, he has endured over a dozen surgeries and intensive wound care. He uses a prosthetic today and continues the healing process.
Nolan and the rest of this year’s Kid Captains are invited to Kids’ Day at Kinnick this Saturday for a special behind-the-scenes tour.
