A Coralville man is accused of using his vehicle to strike someone who slammed his car door.
According to arrest records, just after 12:45 Saturday afternoon 19-year-old Braden Spain got mad at the alleged victim for slamming his car door too hard as they parked in a parking garage near Spain’s 5th Street residence. Coralville Police say Spain accelerated his car and struck the other party, knocking them to the ground. The person complained of head pain and had visible marks on their foot, legs, and elbow.
Spain is charged with Assault With Intent to Inflict Serious Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
