A St, Louis Missouri man was arrested Monday afternoon after he solicited a minor for sex in Iowa City.
38-year-old Brian Williams began communicating with a person he believed to be under 16 years of age. Police say during the ensuing conversations, he stated many times that he wanted to engage in sex acts with the girl. He also allegedly sent a photo of a naked penis to the girl.
Williams reportedly made arrangements to meet with the girl so that they could return to her house and engage in sex acts. He arrived at the pre-determined Iowa City location and was detained.
Williams was charged with Enticing a minor under the age of 16 for sexual purposes, and telephone dissemination of obscene materials to a minor. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to seven years in prison.
