City of Iowa City news release

Starting Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, Iowa City Transit will be making several service changes to increase operational efficiency and improve overall system service.

These changes include increased morning peak capacity on the 10–West Iowa City route, increasing service on the 8-Oakcrest route, the discontinuation of the 4–Downtown Shuttle, and a shift from 30-minute to hourly service on the 6–Peninsula and 13–South Gilbert routes during peak hours.
