A transient has been arrested after a Friday afternoon stabbing in Iowa City.
Iowa City Police say just before 3:15 Friday afternoon 51-year-old Tara Eaton stabbed the alleged victim with a broken glass pipe during an altercation at the Town & Campus Apartments on Arthur Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for a stab wound.
Eaton reportedly confessed to the stabbing. She’s now charged with Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, she faces a maximum of five years in prison.
