Proctor & Gamble is hiring 100 new Iowa City employees.
The company has plans for expansion at its Oral-B plant on Lower Muscatine Road, including a new production line and a new 150,000-square-foot facility. The expansion is estimated at $150 million, and the 100 new jobs will have an average starting salary of $31.85 per hour.
The funding comes from an economic development award approved on Friday by the Iowa Economic Development Authority Board.
The Oral-B plant currently employs about 600 people.
