A North Liberty man faces burglary charges after allegedly breaking into a storage facility and stealing a pair of women’s shoes.
According to the criminal complaint, 44-year-old Christian Rincon of Zeller Crossing was seen on camera entering IStorage on West Penn Street August 22nd without authorization. Neither Rincon or a co-suspect are listed having units in the storage facility.
The two entered one of the buildings, and the property manager noticed the lock was cut off one of the units after seeing Rincon and the co-suspect leave the building.
The victim reported that someone had broken the lock to her unit and that someone had been inside. She later stated that a pair of shoes had been taken from inside her locker.
Rincon allegedly was carrying a black backpack at the time the storage unit was broken into.
A warrant was issued on September 22nd; Rincon was charged with 3rd degree Burglary and could be sentenced to up to five years in prison if convicted.
