The Cedar Rapids Fire Department extinguished a blaze at a mobile home overnight.

According to a release from the Department, they were called to the 3700 block of 16th Avenue SW at 2:43 am on reports of a fire at a manufactured home.  Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire on three sides of the structure.  Once it was confirmed everyone was out of the mobile home, crews entered, extinguished the fire, and performed a search.

Three adult males were in the structure at the time of the fire, and unspecified medical treatment was required.  The injured party or parties were taken to University of Iowa Healthcare.

The mobile home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage, leaving the occupants displaced.  It’s unsure if smoke alarms were working at the time of the fire.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
