Stead Family Children’s Hospital ranked tops in state

University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital is once again ranked the state’s No. 1 children’s hospital and No. 12 in the Midwest region in the 2025-26 “Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings published by U.S. News & World Report.

The hospital was also honored in six categories nationally; 19^th in neonatology, 33^rd in pediatric diabetes and endocrinology, 36^th in pediatric urology, 38^th in pediatric nephrology, 48^th in pediatric cancer, and in the top 50 in pediatric and adolescent behavioral health.

The Midwest region includes Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Ohio, the Dakotas, and Wisconsin.
