A Coralville man who has been wanted by police since 2007 has been arrested on drug charges.

According to the criminal complaints, a search warrant was executed at the apartment of 53-year-old Emsy Harris of 10th Street on the 26th of January that year. During the search, officers allegedly located over 100 individual packaged bags containing a white rock substance.  One bag was field tested and was identified as cocaine. Bags used to package the substance and a scale with white residue were also reportedly found.

Three minors were found in Harris’ residence, and a DHS investigation showed all three tested positive for cocaine exposure.

Warrants were issued in March of that year. Harris remained at large until this week. He’s been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Failure to affix Drug Stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, and Child Endangerment.  If convicted on all counts, Harris could be sentenced to over 17 years in prison.

He was released on his own recognizance pending arraignment.
