Rural Tiffin man accused of making threat with firearm

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says a rural Tiffin man pulled a gun on another person at a convenience store.

Deputies were called to the Village Drive Kum & Go in Tiffin at 3:45 Sunday afternoon. The alleged victim stated 61-year-old Steven Vedepo of 360^th Street SW pulled up near them in the parking lot, pointed a firearm at them, and pretended to discharge the weapon.

Vedepo was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 5:00 Sunday night and charged with Assault While Displaying a Weapon and 1^st Degree Harassment. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of four years in jail.
