A Keokuk County woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting her mother in Iowa City.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s office says 19-year-old Shyann Lawrence of Kinross was involved in a physical altercation with her mother just before 10:00 last Monday night at a residence in the Sunrise Village manufactured housing community on Scott Boulevard. A child was present during the alleged altercation.
Lawrence is now charged with Domestic Abuse Assault and Child Endangerment. If convicted on both counts, she faces a maximum of 25 months in jail.
