A transient with a history of shoplifting convictions has been arrested again for the same offense.

41-year-old Brandy Fulton was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 9:45 Tuesday morning. Fulton was wanted for a November 3rd incident during which she allegedly entered the Waterfront Hy-Vee through an employee entrance, stole a bottle of Revelton Honey Vodka, and concealed it in her sweatshirt.

Fulton was confronted by staff, but she reportedly refused a search of her person and fled on a bicycle. The vodka was valued at $23.36.

Fulton was arrested by University of Iowa Police just after 8:15 Tuesday morning after she was reportedly found smoking marijuana in the 5th floor elevator lobby of the Old Capitol Town Center parking ramp.

Fulton has a history of shoplifting convictions in Johnson and Linn Counties. She’s now charged with 3rd Degree Theft and Possession of Marijuana – 3rd or Subsequent Offense. If convicted on both counts, she faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
