A Bellevue man started his New Year by getting an OWI.

According to the police report, officers were called to an apartment complex on Camden Road just before 2am on a report of a car that was stuck on a wall.  Upon arrival, 32-year-old Christopher Lundin of 341st Avenue was located in the passenger seat of a black Mitsubishi Outlander. The person in the driver’s seat, 36-year-old Taylor McNeal of North Liberty, stated that Lundin got the car stuck, and a witness alleged she saw the two switching spots in the vehicle trying to get the vehicle off the wall.

Lundin reportedly showed signs of impairment on field tests, and a subsequent Datamaster test showed his breath-alcohol level at .172 percent.

He was charged with OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor.

McNeal was also charged with OWI first offense after giving a Datamaster reading of .207 percent.
