An Illinois woman was taken into custody early Wednesday after allegedly being involved in a domestic assault.
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in progress on Ivy Avenue in Oxford. They learned that the victim and 39-year-old Krista Grady of LaSalle Illinois had been in an argument about their cell phones. The man reportedly had a large scratch on his nose, which caused minor bleeding. He also had marks on the right side of his neck. He alleged that Grady caused the marks by striking and scratching him.
The couple reportedly had been in an intimate relationship for about six months.
Grady was arrested and charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury, a serious misdemeanor. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties.
