Weather permitting, Court Street from Muscatine Avenue to 7th Avenue, including the Muscatine Avenue intersection, will fully reopen to vehicle traffic on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. This area will remain closed to pedestrian traffic until spring.
When construction resumes this spring, Court Street will be closed again to through traffic from Muscatine Avenue to 7th Avenue to allow the contractor to complete the installation of sidewalk, retaining walls, final grading, and surface restoration. This work is anticipated to be completed in the spring.
Additional information will be shared regarding the project schedule as the start of the construction season approaches. Once completed, the roadway will be reopened to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Muscatine Avenue to 7th Avenue.
