A West Branch man was arrested earlier this week after allegedly threatening bar patrons.
Police say 38-year-old Chad Wambold of Lou Henry Lane was at Brother’s Bar at around 6pm Tuesday He was asked to leave the establishment after allegedly threatening to kill people. Shortly thereafter, he was confronted by a guard at the Old Capital Mall after reportedly smoking a vape inside the building. Wambold reportedly used threatening and abusive language towards the guard, then fled on foot.
When police caught up with Wambold, he allegedly had the odor of ingested alcohol and glassy eyes. He reportedly told the officer he had marijuana in his possession after his arrest.
Wambold was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Marijuana possession, and Public Intoxication. He could be sentenced to up to 90 days in jail if convicted on all counts.
