While camping may not be on most people’s minds during the current cold snap, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reminding the public that Coralville Lake campsites open up in less than 100 days.
To celebrate, the Corps’ Rock Island office is giving away two free overnight campsite rentals for the 2026 season. Just follow the official Coralville Lake Facebook page, like the January 21st post about the contest, and tag two friends in the comments. The giveaway ends at 11:59 next Saturday night. Winners will be contacted by direct message on Facebook and announced the following week.
