A Tiffin woman was arrested after an alleged assault on her sibling.
A sheriff’s deputy responded to an address on Catskill Court Thursday on reports of a fight between siblings. Upon arrival, the alleged female victim stated there was a verbal altercation that escalated between her and her sibling, 29-year-old Tyiackiya Garrett of Kimberlite Street.
Garrett allegedly reacted to comments the woman made and struck her in the face with her hand. She allegedly admitted to “snapping” and striking the sibling first. Both siblings had red marks and cuts on their faces consistent with a physical interaction.
Garrett was charged with domestic assault causing injury, a serious misdemeanor. A no-contact order was requested between the siblings.
