A Coralville man faces charges after allegedly stealing items from Goodwill.
Police say the incident occurred on January 22nd at the store on Highway 6 East at approximately 3pm.
49-year-old Louis Church of Holiday Road took a shopping cart full of merchandise into the bathroom. He then left the room wearing different clothes than when he walked in and left the store.
Staff estimated Church stole a little over $70 in merchandise. Police were able to identify Church because along with the clothes he left, he also forgot hs phone in the bathroom.
With two prior theft convictions, Church was charged with 3rd degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison term of up to two years if convicted.
