Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies say a traffic stop near Morse turned up a pair of stolen license plates inside a North Liberty man’s vehicle.
41-year-old Dustin Stucker of the Golfview Estates manufactured housing community was pulled over near Newport Road and Highway 1…between Iowa City and Solon…just after 1:15 Thursday morning. Stucker’s 2009 Ford Escape was reportedly travelling at 67 miles per hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone. Investigators say Stucker is barred from driving, and a search of his vehicle reportedly turned up a meth pipe and two license plates reported as stolen out of Iowa City.
Stucker is charged with Driving While Barred, 3rd Degree Theft, Operating a Non-Registered Vehicle, and Speeding. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum of four years in jail.
