A North Liberty man was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after an Iowa City officer learned that his driving privileges were revoked and that he was carrying methamphetamine.
41-year-old Justin Stucker came in contact with police after he went through the drive-thru of the Riverside Drive McDonald’s just before 1:40am, pulled into a parking space and exited. He reportedly identified himself, and a check of his driving record showed his driving status as barred, suspended, and revoked.
Stucker allegedly was also observed removing a bag from his person and tucking it into the seat he was occupying. The bag reportedly contained just under 9 grams of meth.
Stucker was found to have multiple convictions for controlled substance violations.
He was charged with Driving While Barred, Driving while Revoked, 3rd or subsequent Controlled Substance violation, and Failure to Affix Tax Stamp. If convicted on all counts, Stucker could face a prison sentence of up to fifteen years.
