Iowa City Police called to a Valentine’s Day domestic disturbance allegedly discovered a large amount of drugs and four firearms.

Officers were called to the Seville Apartments on Benton Street just before 11:30 Saturday night, where they say they discovered a large quantity of raw marijuana packaged in various glass jars, THC vape pens, various items of drug paraphernalia, and four handguns inside the apartment of 28-year-old Anthonie Lee, who allegedly admitted the drugs were his.

Lee is charged with a Controlled Substance Violation, Failure to Use a Drug Tax Stamp, and Keeping Premises for the Use of Controlled Substances. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 12 years in prison.

There is no indication of any pending charges for having firearms in the same residence as the drugs.
