Iowans with medical THC licenses will need to carry new cards being issued by the state.
License holders should check for an email sent out this week which notifies them that due to a system update, QR codes on registration cards issued before February 13th of this year no longer function for verification purposes. The update does not change cardholders’ registration status, expiration date, or THC limit.
All the information from users’ previous cards should be identical, and the QR code should route to the secure verification site. The new cards can be printed directly from the email.
