A Coralville man is accused of breaking a woman’s spine during an assault last month.
Coralville Police were called to an address on Winterpark Place just before 9:45 on the night of February 20th. One of the residents, 49-year-old Deangelo Seay, had allegedly grabbed a woman around the stomach from behind and threw her to the ground. The woman complained of pain and went to a hospital a few days later. Doctors report the woman suffered a fractured spine.
Seay is now charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted he faces up to one year in jail.
