A reported road rage incident has led to the arrest of an Iowa City woman.
Coralville Police say at about 10:00 Wednesday morning 31-year-old Valerie Humphrey of the Hilltop manufactured housing community on Waterfront Drive followed another motorist from eastbound Interstate 80 to the Trader Joe’s on Ponseti Way. Humphrey reportedly admitted to striking the other driver in the face once the two were out of their vehicles. The other driver reported pain to her cheek, forehead, and upper lip.
Humphrey is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, she faces up to one year in jail.
