An Iowa City man faces possible jail time after allegedly assaulting a man earlier this year.
The incident allegedly occurred at a Keokuk Street apartment at around 9:30pm January 4th. According to the police report, 38-year-old Mlocwa Amisi of Mineral Point Lane was told to leave the apartment by the victim. Amisi allegedly became angry and attacked the man by poking him in the eyes and kicking him in the side. The man’s eyes were extremely red from being poked, and he complained of pain where he had been kicked.
Amisi has been charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted on the charge.
