An Iowa City man was taken into custody after he allegedly tampered with a person involved in a no-contact order.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Valentino Jackson of Wayne Avenue posted a story to his Facebook profile on March 16th. The video clip allegedly showed the victim’s name listed on the no-contact order, prior messages between Jackson and the victim and the victim’s son with a movie clip reportedly stating, “effing snitch.”

Police say the story appears to be retaliation for Jackson’s recent criminal charges.

A warrant was issued March 18th; Jackson was arrested Sunday night and charged with violating the no-contact order and Tampering with a Witness or Juror. He faces jail time of up to two years if convicted.
