A local transient faces a felony charge after allegedly injuring his fiancée by hitting her with a pepper grinder.
Coralville Police say 56-year-old Bryce Peterson was arguing with the woman at a residence on Spring Rose Circle when he threw a pepper grinder at her, striking her in the knee. The two told police that they had been in a relationship for about two years, have lived together in the past, and that Peterson was currently living with the woman despite telling investigators his home address was Shelter House.
Peterson has multiple previous domestic abuse convictions, and is now charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – 3rd or Subsequent Offense. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.
