Iowa City Police have arrested a North Liberty man they say was involved in a beating on the Ped Mall last month.
23-year-old Brady Dauber of Bobcat Place was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 7:45 Thursday night. Arrest records indicate Dauber violently assaulted a man on the 100 block of East College Street just before 2:00 on the morning of February 22nd. Police say Dauber struck the victim numerous times in the head and face until they fell to the ground. The victim reportedly curled up into a ball to protect himself, but Dauber allegedly continued the attack, including stomping on the man’s head. The other man suffered injuries to his head and face.
Dauber is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail.
