Sunday Morning Disturbance in Cedar Rapids Results in Multiple Arrests

Cedar Rapids police officers responded to a large bar fight in the 400 block of 2nd Ave SE around 1:30am Sunday. As officers attempted to break up the fight inside, many patrons continued fighting outside. Additional officers were called to the scene along with Linn County Sheriff’s deputies. One officer received minor injuries.

After the fight, officers reviewed evidence and made multiple arrests – with more possible as the incident is reviewed and investigated.

-Jaylan Bentley – Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment of Public Officers, and IWOA
-Chelsea Blinks – Harassment of Public Officers and Public Intoxication

The investigation is ongoing.
