An Iowa City man was arrested recently after allegedly taking two bicycles from an apartment complex.
Police say 33-year-old Davonte Coleman of Page Street took the bikes from the outside location of Aspire Apartment Complex’s maintenance building April 13th just before 8:45am. Investigators followed up on the theft and were directed to a room at the Iowa Lodge where Coleman allegedly identified himself as the image on a surveillance photograph taken during the reported theft.
Coleman provided further details linking him to the incident.
He was charged with 4th degree Theft, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to one year if convicted.
