A University of Iowa student has been arrested after allegedly engaging in sexual activity with an incapacitated female.

Police say the incident occurred around 1:30am on February 8th. According to the police investigation, 19-year-old Cameron Frattalone of Hillcrest Hall had sex with the woman, who was physically helpless due to their level of intoxication. Video evidence and witness testimony reportedly show that the victim was unconscious and incapacitated at a bar and vomited outside. She was still unconscious as she was taken in a ride share, and allegedly carried by Frattalone and a friend to the assault location on Byington Road.

The victim has no memory of the incident, and a sexual assault kit allegedly confirmed that a sex act had taken place.

A warrant was issued May 1st; Frattalone was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with 3rd degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to ten years if convicted.

A no-contact order was issued by Judge Brandon Schrock, who also allowed Frattalone to leave the state and reside with his parents pending future court dates.
