An Oxford woman who had sex with a 14-year old boy and became pregnant in the process has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Online records show Judge Carl Baker handed down the sentence on Monday.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s office says 19-year-old Madison Renee Kepler of West State Street admitted to having sex with the victim at least ten times between September and November of last year. Kepler says she considered the child her boyfriend. The two also lived together for a short time during the alleged sexual interaction.

Kepler became pregnant, and believes the boy is the father. She was found guilty of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony punishable by a maximum of ten years in prison.

Online records show Kepler was given a ten-year suspended sentence, three years of supervised probation and must sign up for the state’s sex offender registry.
