A Coralville man accused of breaking into a home and sexually assaulting a teenager has reached a plea deal.

Sentencing for 36-year-old Terrence White of 5th Street is set for July 22nd.

Police say White broke into an Iowa City home in September 2017 and assaulted a 15-year-old, allegedly touching her breasts and butt before pushing her onto a bed and forcing her to perform a sex act.

White wasn’t arrested until May of 2018, when he was found to be driving with a revoked license on 1st Avenue. His license had been revoked for an Operating While Intoxicated arrest in Linn County.

White faces two counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse and one count of Lascivious Acts with a Child. If convicted on all charges, he could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison. Online records show at least one of those charges could be reduced to Assault Causing Serious Injury.
