A Tiffin man stopped by police for allegedly punching a hole in his mother’s wall was arrested after he was found driving with a sword.

Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an address on Oriole Court just after 10:30 Friday morning after a woman reported that her son, identified as 21-year-old Robert Keith-Zamora, had punched a hole in a wall in her house after the two had a verbal argument, then left the scene. Arrest records indicate Keith-Zamora lives with his mother.

Deputies stopped Keith-Zamora as he was driving on Highway 6, and had been given information that he may have weapons inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up a sword approximately three feet in length on the passenger seat.

Keith-Zamora was arrested and charged with Carrying Weapons and 4th Degree Criminal Mischief. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of three years in prison.
