A juvenile has been charged with damaging a car in Iowa City after jumping on the hood.
Iowa City Police were called to the corner of Davis Street and Burns Avenue just after 8pm Thursday for a report of kids jumping on the hood of a black Honda Civic, causing damage. The juveniles fled the scene on bicycles, but online reports indicate one of the juveniles was charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief, indicating the damage was between $200-$500. The charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail.
Due to the juvenile’s age, he or she is not identified in police records.
