A Waterloo man faces charges that he threatened to “shoot up” an Iowa City convenience store.
According to Iowa City Police, 25-year-old Kevin Parker walked into Kum & Go on Muscatine Avenue just before 3:45 Tuesday afternoon and engaged in a verbal altercation with the clerk. Parker kept asking the clerk numerous questions, and when he wasn’t satisfied with the answers, he allegedly said he would shoot the place up.
Parker can be heard making the threat on video footage of the incident. He’s charged with 1st Degree Harassment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of two years in prison.
