The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a dragging operation on the Iowa River near the area of the Iowa Avenue bridge. According to a news release, the Sheriff’s Office was asked for assistance by University of Iowa Police, who has reason to believe a person may have jumped off the bridge.
Other agencies on the scene assisting are the Johnson County Metro Dive Team, the Iowa City Fire Department, and Johnson County EMA.
