A North Liberty woman has been arrested for her alleged involvement in an assault on a Coralville restaurant employee.

Police say that then 21-year-old Penny Candy Johnson of Savannah Drive posted a “Facebook Live” video threatening to assault the victim before the November 15th incident. In the video, Johnson is shown saying she wanted to “mop up the brains” of the victim.

The woman assaulted said that Johnson and other subjects jumped her in the parking lot of the Pita Pit on the Coralville Strip around 7:45pm that night, leaving her with several visible injuries.

Johnson was arrested Thursday morning, charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail term not exceeding one year.
