Iowa City police officers have responded to reports of gunshots for the second straight day.
Thursday morning at approximately 6am, police responded to reports of multiple gunshots heard in the area of Wetherby Park. Arriving officers located several shell casings in the park’s parking lot and executed an initial canvass of the neighborhood.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage from the incident, and no arrests have been made.
Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to multiple reports of several gunshots heard near Sandusky and Taylor drives. Police discovered fresh damage, believed to be gunshot-related, to a vehicle and a nearby residence. No injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made in that incident.
