PepsiCo officials have confirmed that multiple cases of COVID-19 have been found at the Quaker Oats plant in Cedar Rapids.
KGAN TV reports a statement from the company says they’ve taken all necessary steps to identify and notify individuals who worked closely with the employees and have asked them to self-quarantine for two weeks.
The plant is undergoing a deep cleaning using EPA-approved products for COVID-19, and continues to enforce already strict safety and sanitation standards in all their locations.
There is no current evidence of food or food packaging being associated with the transmission of COVID-19.
