The local Laundromania locations are offering a Free Laundry Day on Wednesday to those in need at their five locations in Iowa City, Coralville and North Liberty.
Starting at 8:30am, volunteers from the United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties will be assisting with the public, notifying them when their loads are ready for loading/unloading and sanitizing. They’re asking that patrons remain in their cars and fold their laundry at home. There’s a limit of 120 pounds of laundry per household, and they’re asking that you don’t bring children.
The last loads will be started at 3:30pm.
If you’d like to contribute laundry detergent to the Free Laundry Day, leave a donation inside the door of the United Way office at 1150 5th Street, Suite 290 in Coralville from 9-5pm.
And if you’d like to volunteer to help on Wednesday or other opportunities, go to www.COVID19volunteers.org.
