Iowa Auto Club West will be holding a car meet in the parking lot of Mexico Lindo Grill & Cantina at the Iowa City Marketplace to benefit Corridor Community Action Network’s Back To School Drive. This Sunday from 3-6pm community members can put on their masks, see some great cars, drop off a donation, and grab dinner to go.
For this car meet, Iowa Auto Club West will be gathering school supplies and monetary donations to purchase school supplies for area youth in need.
Local student advocates have identified 25 high school students who are in need of supplies immediately, and up to 200 students from various elementary schools in the area who are in need of supplies as well.
A donation is encouraged, but not required for participants and spectators.
The group is suggesting a minimum donation of one item from the list or $5.
